Email Security Update — Issue Resolved
Following our earlier notice regarding suspicious emails appearing to originate from service providers' own email addresses, we can now confirm that the issue has been fully identified, addressed, and resolved. Our Enterprise Technology team worked swiftly to implement the necessary fixes, and the spoofed emails have been successfully blocked. We are grateful for the patience and cooperation of our service provider community throughout this process.
ATLANTA, GA — We are pleased to share a positive update with our service provider community. The email spoofing issue we communicated about recently has been fully resolved. Our Enterprise Technology team moved quickly to identify the root cause, implement the appropriate technical fixes, and verify that the issue is no longer active. Service providers should no longer be receiving the suspicious emails that were reported.
We want to take this opportunity to thank every service provider who reported the issue, followed our guidance, and helped us address it as efficiently as possible. Your cooperation made a real difference, and it is a reminder of how much stronger we are when our community works together.
What Our Team Did to Resolve This
From the moment reports came in, our Enterprise Technology team was on it. Here is a summary of what was done to bring this to a full resolution.
Our team quickly pinpointed the exact mechanism being used to spoof service provider email addresses, giving us a clear and targeted path to resolution rather than a broad, disruptive fix.
Targeted email filtering rules were implemented at the network level to block spoofed messages before they could reach service provider inboxes. These filters have been tested and confirmed effective.
We reinforced the email authentication standards across our infrastructure to make it significantly harder for bad actors to replicate this type of spoofing attempt in the future.
Before publishing this update, our team confirmed that the spoofed emails are no longer reaching service provider accounts. We do not publish a resolution notice until we have verified the fix is holding.
You Do Not Need to Do Anything Further
If you followed the guidance in our earlier notice — not clicking any links, reporting suspicious emails as phishing, and not engaging with the content — you are in good shape. No further action is required on your part. Your accounts have not been compromised, and there is nothing additional you need to do as a result of this incident.
If you did click a link in one of the suspicious emails and have not yet reached out to our team, we encourage you to do so as a precaution. Our team is happy to assist and can help you verify that everything on your end is secure.
“Resolving this quickly and communicating clearly throughout is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to. We are grateful to our service provider community for their trust and cooperation — and we are glad to close this chapter with a clean resolution.”
Our Ongoing Commitment to Security
Email spoofing and phishing attempts are unfortunately a persistent reality for organizations of every size and industry. What matters most is how quickly and decisively they are addressed — and we are proud of how our Enterprise Technology team responded to this one. The fixes we have put in place not only resolve this specific issue but also strengthen our defenses against similar attempts going forward.
We remain committed to maintaining the security of our systems and to communicating openly with our service provider community whenever something comes to our attention. If you ever notice anything unusual — whether it is a suspicious email, an unexpected login prompt, or anything else that does not look right — please do not hesitate to report it to our team. Early reports make a significant difference in how quickly we can respond.
Further information and ongoing security guidance remain available through Joyner One, our internal operations portal, for team members and service providers with access.
