Common Animal Transport Questions

What information do I need to provide when booking?

Bookings must include animal type, size/weight, carrier information, pickup and destination addresses, and any special handling or medical needs. For long-distance relocation transport, additional documentation like health certificates may be required.

Does my pet need to be in a carrier?

Yes — your pet must be properly contained in an appropriate, secure carrier or restraint meeting Joyner's requirements, unless we've agreed in writing to provide containment.

Can Joyner refuse to transport my animal?

Yes — we reserve the right to refuse transport of any animal that, in the driver's or dispatcher's reasonable judgment, poses a safety risk, lacks proper containment, or for which required documentation has not been provided.

Does Joyner administer medication or food during transport?

We are not a veterinary provider and don't administer medication, food, or water unless explicit written instructions and supplies are provided by you and the service expressly includes such care.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least four hours before scheduled pickup (or per the timeline specified at booking for long-distance moves) are eligible for a full refund of amounts not yet expended on logistics. Late cancellations may forfeit some or all amounts paid.

What happens if there's a medical emergency during transport?

We'll use reasonable efforts to contact you immediately, and where authorized or reasonably necessary to protect your pet's welfare, may seek emergency veterinary care at your expense.
