Common DSP Questions

What's the difference between Managed and Marketplace Partner?

A Managed Partner operates a dedicated delivery operation using Joyner routing, branding, and vehicle decals, typically servicing a defined territory recurringly, and hires/manages its own personnel. A Marketplace Partner accepts available delivery blocks or jobs on a non-exclusive, as-available basis, choosing its own schedule without dedicated branding or territory.

What onboarding requirements do I need to complete?

To participate under either track, you and your drivers must satisfy Joyner's onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, motor vehicle record checks, drug testing consistent with applicable law, vehicle inspection, and safety/platform training.

Am I an employee of Joyner?

No. Under both tracks, Service Partner is an independent business, and the relationship does not create an employment, agency, joint venture, or partnership relationship with Joyner.

How am I compensated?

Managed Partners are compensated according to the rate structure (typically per-route or per-territory) set forth in your DSP Agreement. Marketplace Partners are compensated on a per-job or per-block basis as displayed at the time of job acceptance.

What happens if a package is lost or damaged?

You're responsible for the careful handling and timely delivery of packages tendered to you, and bear liability for packages lost, stolen, or damaged while in your custody, except where caused by Joyner's or the shipper's negligence.

Do I need my own insurance?

Yes. You're responsible for maintaining your own commercial automobile, cargo, and general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage as required by law, naming Joyner as an additional insured where required by your DSP Agreement.

Where can I read the full DSP Terms & Conditions?

You can view the complete Joyner Delivery Service Partner Terms & Conditions in our Legal Center for full details on both tracks.
