LOAD ACCEPTANCE CONTROL

Dispatch Support Built Around You

Joyner Dispatch works with both independent carriers running their own authority and leased operators under Joyner's authority — each with a clearly defined relationship.

Independent Carriers

If you maintain your own USDOT and MC authority, Joyner negotiates and books loads solely as your authorized agent.

Leased Operators

Operating under Joyner's own authority means Joyner is the carrier of record, governed by your lease/owner-operator agreement.

Load Sourcing

We use commercially reasonable efforts to source and present available loads matching your equipment, lanes, and preferences.

Right to Decline

Independent Carriers retain the right to decline any load before it's confirmed in their name.

Settlement & Invoicing

Dispatch fees are deducted from settlement or invoiced per your agreed payment cycle, set forth in your onboarding or lease agreement.

Compliance Support

Carriers must maintain active authority, required insurance, and a satisfactory or unrated FMCSA safety rating to remain eligible.

Clarity in Every Relationship

Clear Carrier Status

Every rate confirmation is issued in the right name — yours as an Independent Carrier, or Joyner's for Leased Operators.

Dispatch fees are calculated per your agreement — no surprises, no hidden percentages.

Real Support, Real People

Back-office, paperwork, and invoicing support that frees you up to focus on driving.

Common Dispatch Questions

What's the difference between an Independent Carrier and a Leased Operator?

An Independent Carrier maintains its own USDOT and MC operating authority — Joyner negotiates loads solely as your agent, and rate confirmations are issued in your own name. A Leased Operator's equipment and services operate under Joyner's own FMCSA authority, making Joyner the carrier of record for those loads.

Can I decline a load Joyner Dispatch sources for me?

If you're an Independent Carrier, yes — you retain the right to decline any load before it's confirmed in your name. Joyner authorizes negotiation within parameters you specify, like lanes, rate floors, and equipment type.

What do I need to maintain to stay eligible for Dispatch Services?

Independent Carriers must maintain active USDOT and MC authority in good standing, cargo and auto liability insurance meeting FMCSA minimums, a satisfactory or unrated safety rating, and compliance with applicable Hours of Service and other FMCSA regulations.

How are dispatch fees calculated?

Joyner's dispatch fee is calculated as a percentage of gross revenue per load, or a flat fee, as agreed in your Client Carrier agreement, and is deducted from settlement or invoiced per the agreed payment cycle.

Who's responsible if there's an accident or cargo claim?

For Independent Carriers, Joyner is not responsible for cargo claims, accidents, citations, or regulatory violations arising from operation of your own authority, as Joyner doesn't control your drivers, equipment, or operations. For Leased Operators, liability is governed by the applicable lease agreement.

What happens if my insurance lapses or my authority changes?

You must promptly notify Joyner of any change in operating authority status, insurance lapse, safety rating change, or out-of-service order, as these affect your continued eligibility for Dispatch Services.

Where can I read the full Dispatch Terms & Conditions?
