Common Mobility Questions

Is Joyner Mobility the same as emergency medical transport?

No. Mobility Services are not emergency medical transport and do not include medical monitoring, clinical care, or paramedic-level services. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

Who can book a trip on my behalf?

You, an authorized representative, a caregiver, a healthcare facility, or a managed-care/payer partner can book Mobility Services on your behalf, provided any disclosed mobility equipment, assistance needs, and accompanying companion or caregiver are specified at booking.

Does Joyner Mobility accept insurance or Medicaid?

As of now, Mobility Services are provided primarily on a self-pay basis. If Joyner enters into a contract with a healthcare payer or managed care organization in the future, billing options will expand accordingly.

What mobility equipment can be transported?

We accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices disclosed at booking. Joyner reserves the right to decline transport of equipment that, in the driver's reasonable judgment, cannot be safely secured.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least two hours before scheduled pickup are eligible for a full refund (where self-pay) or will not be billed to the payer. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full fare.

What if I have a concern about accessibility?

Joyner is committed to providing accessible transportation consistent with the ADA and applicable state accessibility laws. Concerns regarding accessibility can be directed to legal@myjoyner.com.
