Firearms Prohibition Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 Last Updated: January 1, 2026

1. Policy Statement

The safety of our customers, employees, drivers, and service partners is Joyner Transportation & Logistic Services LLC's ("Joyner") highest priority. Joyner prohibits the possession, carrying, display, or use of firearms, weapons, or dangerous devices in all Joyner vehicles, facilities, and service environments by customers, passengers, contractors, and visitors — except as expressly provided in Section 4 of this Policy.

This Policy applies to all Joyner service lines, including Airport Shuttle, Corporate Shuttle, Joyner Mobility, Joyner Autow roadside assistance vehicles, Joyner Freight vehicles, DSP delivery vehicles, Joyner Warehousing facilities, and Tractor & Trailer Parking facilities.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to all persons who enter, occupy, or interact with:

  • Any Joyner-operated or Joyner-managed vehicle, including passenger shuttles, mobility vehicles, roadside assistance units, freight trucks, and delivery vehicles
  • Any Joyner-operated or Joyner-managed facility, including warehouses, tractor-trailer parking lots, dispatch offices, and any Joyner office space
  • Any vehicle or facility operated by an independent contractor, DSP partner, or service partner while performing services on behalf of Joyner

This Policy applies regardless of whether a person holds a valid concealed carry permit or firearm license. The existence of a valid concealed carry permit issued by any state or jurisdiction does not authorize possession of a firearm in a Joyner vehicle or facility.

3. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited in all Joyner vehicles and facilities:

  • Firearms of any kind, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and any other firearm as defined under applicable federal or state law
  • Ammunition, except as part of an authorized firearms transport arrangement under Section 4
  • Knives with blades longer than three (3) inches, except tools carried for legitimate work purposes (e.g., box cutters used in warehousing operations)
  • Explosive devices, fireworks, or incendiary materials of any kind
  • Tasers, stun guns, or electric shock devices, except as carried by authorized law enforcement officers
  • Brass knuckles, blackjacks, clubs, or other instruments designed or commonly used as weapons
  • Any other item that, in Joyner's reasonable judgment, poses an unreasonable risk of harm to passengers, drivers, employees, or the public

4. Exceptions

The following persons are exempt from this Policy under the circumstances described:

  • On-duty law enforcement officers: Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who are required by law, agency policy, or official duty to carry a firearm while on duty are exempt from this Policy when acting in their official law enforcement capacity. Off-duty law enforcement officers are not exempt.
  • Licensed firearms transport: Federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) arranging the lawful transport of legally owned, unloaded, and secured firearms in a locked container, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and with Joyner's specific prior written authorization for the specific shipment — are exempt from this Policy solely with respect to the authorized shipment.
  • Legally required exceptions: Any situation in which applicable law expressly requires Joyner to permit the possession of a firearm or weapon in a specific vehicle or facility context.

If you believe you qualify for an exception, contact legal@myjoyner.com before your service date to obtain written authorization where required.

5. Enforcement

Joyner drivers, dispatchers, and facility personnel are authorized to:

  • Refuse service to any person who is known or reasonably believed to be in possession of a prohibited item
  • Request that a person remove a prohibited item from a Joyner vehicle or facility
  • End a trip or remove a person from a vehicle or facility who refuses to comply with this Policy
  • Contact law enforcement if a person refuses to comply or if an immediate safety threat is present

Joyner personnel are not required to physically confront or detain any person in connection with enforcement of this Policy. When in doubt, personnel are instructed to prioritize their own safety and contact law enforcement.

6. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Policy may result in:

  • Immediate refusal or termination of service without refund
  • Permanent ban from Joyner services
  • Termination of the engagement for drivers, contractors, or service partners
  • Reporting to law enforcement where possession of a prohibited item is unlawful
  • Civil liability for any harm caused as a result of the violation

7. Reporting Violations

If you observe a person in possession of a firearm or prohibited weapon in a Joyner vehicle or facility:

  • If there is an immediate threat to safety: Call 911 immediately
  • To report a non-emergency violation: Contact Joyner dispatch or safety@myjoyner.com

Joyner takes all weapons-related safety reports seriously and will respond promptly.

8. No Duty to Inspect

This Policy does not impose a duty on Joyner, its drivers, or its facility personnel to inspect passengers, cargo, or vehicles for prohibited items. Joyner's liability is not increased by the existence of this Policy beyond what is otherwise applicable under law.

9. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable federal law. Nothing in this Policy is intended to conflict with or supersede applicable federal, state, or local law governing the lawful possession of firearms.
