These Social Media Guidelines ("Guidelines") establish standards for social media use by all Joyner Transportation & Logistic Services LLC ("Joyner") employees, W-2 drivers, independent contractors, sales agents, delivery service partners, and any other individuals who perform services on behalf of Joyner or who are publicly associated with Joyner in any capacity.
These Guidelines apply to all social media activity — on any platform, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Reddit, and any other public or semi-public online forum — that relates to Joyner, its services, its customers, its competitors, or its personnel. They apply whether the activity occurs on official Joyner accounts or on personal accounts.
Joyner maintains official social media accounts on various platforms. Only personnel who have been specifically authorized in writing by Joyner's Marketing department may create, post, or respond on behalf of Joyner's official accounts. Unauthorized use of Joyner's name, brand, trademarks, logo, or likeness on any social media account in a manner that suggests official Joyner affiliation or endorsement is strictly prohibited and may constitute trademark infringement.
If you discover an unauthorized account impersonating Joyner or a Joyner service, report it to marketing@myjoyner.com immediately.
When using your personal social media accounts to discuss Joyner, Joyner services, or Joyner-related topics, you must comply with the following requirements:
If you identify yourself as a Joyner employee, driver, contractor, or agent in connection with any social media post about Joyner or Joyner-related topics, you must clearly state that you are speaking in your personal capacity and that your views are your own — not those of Joyner. A simple disclosure such as "These are my personal views and do not represent Joyner" is sufficient.
You must not share, post, or disclose any Joyner confidential or proprietary information on social media, including:
Your confidentiality obligations survive the end of your employment or engagement with Joyner.
You must not make false, misleading, or defamatory statements about Joyner, its services, its customers, its competitors, or any individual in connection with Joyner on social media. If you are uncertain whether a statement is accurate, do not post it.
You must not post photographs, videos, or personal information of Joyner customers, passengers, or fellow employees without their express consent. This includes photographs taken inside Joyner vehicles, at customer locations, or at Joyner facilities. Dashcam or CCTV footage from Joyner vehicles or facilities must never be shared on personal social media.
You must not engage in harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive conduct directed at any individual or group on social media in connection with your role at Joyner. Posts that demean Joyner customers, fellow drivers, contractors, or employees — or that could damage Joyner's relationships with its customers or partners — are prohibited.
Nothing in these Guidelines is intended to prohibit or restrict lawful concerted activity protected by Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) or any other applicable law. Employees have the right to discuss wages, hours, and working conditions with coworkers and others. These Guidelines do not prohibit such discussions and should not be interpreted to do so.
Joyner's customer and shipper information is confidential. You must never disclose, post, or comment about specific customers, their shipments, their routes, their cargo, their payment information, or any other customer-specific details on social media — whether the customer's identity is named or can reasonably be inferred from the post. This obligation applies during and after your engagement with Joyner.
If you are involved in or witness a vehicle accident, safety incident, cargo loss, customer complaint, or any other operational incident involving Joyner services, do not post about it on social media before: (a) ensuring the immediate safety of all persons involved; (b) reporting the incident through Joyner's proper internal reporting channels; and (c) receiving guidance from Joyner's management or Legal team, if applicable. Premature or inaccurate social media posts about incidents can interfere with safety investigations, insurance claims, and legal proceedings.
If you post about Joyner's services on social media and you have received or expect to receive any form of compensation, free services, discounts, gifts, or other material benefit from Joyner in connection with your post, you must clearly and conspicuously disclose that relationship in your post, consistent with FTC Endorsement Guidelines (16 C.F.R. Part 255). A disclosure such as "#JoynerPartner" or "I received [benefit] from Joyner" is required.
All media and press inquiries — including requests for comments, interviews, or statements about Joyner — must be directed to Joyner's Marketing department at marketing@myjoyner.com. Employees, drivers, and contractors are not authorized to speak on behalf of Joyner to media organizations without prior written authorization from Joyner leadership.
Violations of these Guidelines may result in:
The severity of consequences will be proportionate to the nature and impact of the violation.
If you are unsure whether a specific social media post complies with these Guidelines, contact Joyner's Marketing department at marketing@myjoyner.com before posting. When in doubt, don't post.
Joyner may update these Guidelines at any time. The current version is always available at the Joyner Legal Center. Continued engagement with Joyner following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
